Quality Electronics Technician

Location: Hamilton, OH, US

For over 125 years, OPW has led the way in designing and manufacturing world-class retail fueling, fluid handling and car wash system solutions for the safe and efficient handling and distribution of fuels and critical fluids.

Summary

Electronic technicians are responsible for gathering data during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role focuses on various procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Depending on the product process, technicians may be required to conduct quick sensory checks or perform thorough, extensive analyses. The role may also include examining products to find defects.

Essential Functions

  1. Knowledge of electronics processes and circuitry board continuity.
  2. Perform testing, inspecting, and diagnosing through root cause analysis troubleshooting. (50% responsibility of role)
  3. Read and understand schematics, blueprints, tape measures, gauges, multimeters, and electronics equipment.
  4. Record and analyze results of tests to certify or reject products.
  5. Work with electronics components, safety devices, probes, fill covers, overfill valves, pressure relief valves hatches, and potentially hazardous products.
  6. Ensure work area is clean and free of safety hazards.
  7. Keep quality leadership advised of problems and progress as related to work assignments.
  8. Perform additional duties as requested by supervision.

Required Skills

  1. Electro-mechanically inclined.
  2. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  3. Time Management.
  4. Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
  5. Working knowledge of hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic powered tools.
  6. Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and file management).
  7. Experience using Oracle or similar software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

Certificate or diploma from a trade or vocational school with an electro-mechanical focus.
