Quality Control Associate

The Quality Control Associate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality standards of plants produced in Hendriks Greenhouses.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting plants for health, disease, and pests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing quality control processes.
• Ensure plants meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the production team to implement best practices and corrective actions.
• Ability to work in varying greenhouse conditions, including high temperatures and humidity.
• Inspecting, recording, and reporting the quality status.
• Keep workplace clean and tidy.
• Capability to lift and carry plants, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in Quality Control.
• Post-secondary education in quality control/assurance or related field.
• Greenhouse experience considered an asset.
• Excel and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Safety shoes are mandatory.
• Must be a self-starter as well as able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Able to work evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
