Quality Assurance Analyst

Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking two (2) Quality Assurance Analysts for one of our key clients. The QA Analyst will be required to test products (application, system, service, process, product configuration, infrastructure element, or other asset to be developed or modified) as articulated through the test strategy, test plan and test-related documentation, ensuring quality standards and delivery timelines are met.

Candidate MUST have the following:

• University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile);
• Knowledge of testing processes, tools, and frameworks;
• Good business acumen and familiarity with related industry business functions;
• Familiarity with: test management and execution tools (e.g., TestRail, HPQC, UFT, SoapUI), database systems (e.g., DB2, Mongo DB) and data access methods (e.g., Object relational mapping, SQL, ETL, API, caching), test management and test automation systems (e.g., Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, Cucumber);
• Related experience through a co-op term or working in a technical or project environment is an asset;
• Experience in: test driven development, mapping requirements to test cases, working in a team environment;
• Customer service experience demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ attitude; and
• Demonstrated ability to execute with high attention to detail.

Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:

• Gaining testing and product knowledge;
• Gaining understanding and participates in the creation of testing strategies, plans and test cases;
• Participating in QA analysis, ensuring understanding;
• Ensuring documentation of analysis efforts is accurate;
• Accurately documenting test scenarios, following the test plan, performing test execution and reporting on progress quality;
• Developing reusable and automatable test cases/test scenarios;
• Gaining exposure to and learning analysis methods, practices, and tools;
• Taking accountability for own deliverables, keeping in mind team goals and objectives; and
• Participating in the resolution of client issues as they arise in collaboration with other teams.
