Are you the Developer Evangelist we are looking for?

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic developer ecosystem evangelist to join QNX at an exciting point in our history! In this role, you will be a key voice and advocate for the QNX developer community, driving engagement, adoption, and growth of QNX technologies. You will work closely with developers, partners, and internal teams to foster a vibrant ecosystem and ensure the success of QNX-based solutions.

You will have significant development experience with QNX and C/C++, as well as prior experience building and/or playing a key role in the growth of a developer community.

You will:

  • Create and deliver a QNX developer ecosystem strategy with internal technical stakeholders, partners, and customers to grow QNX software adoption and skills.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the QNX developer ecosystem strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide input into the product roadmap and product strategy to increase QNX's attractiveness and utility globally.
  • Identify and leverage relevant developer and/or industry communities to accelerate adoption of QNX with developers.
  • Provide continuous input into the QNX engineering and related teams to facilitate growing the developer ecosystem.
  • Consult with 3rd-party developers to optimize, modernize, and adopt key QNX technologies. Advocate for their requirements with QNX engineering and product teams on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and discussions to help drive awareness and adoption of QNX products, enablement, and programs.
  • Gain industry recognition and credibility as attendee, panelist, and keynote speaker at technology conferences, hackathons, workshops, and events.
  • Continually identify opportunities for partnerships, collaboration, and customer opportunities.
  • Partner with QNX marketing teams to drive messaging, strategy, and tactics for strategic QNX developer ecosystem initiatives.
  • Lead hands-on workshops and hackathons to assist developers with the adoption of QNX technologies.

What we need you to bring:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of QNX and its product portfolio, embedded systems, and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with C/C++ programming and development tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Developer Community Engagement: Proven experience in community engagement and developer advocacy. Passion for building and supporting developer communities.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for conferences, meetups, and other events as needed.
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/equivalent technical program, or equivalent professional experience.

It would be great if you have the following but it's not essential:

  • Experience with other embedded operating systems and IoT platforms.
  • Familiarity with open-source development and contributions.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Base Range: $150,000 - $200,000 CAD
