They have engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a QA Engineer. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation.
As a Platform QA Engineer you will be responsible for working side-by-side with developers, product owners and scrum masters to drive quality and assess release risk. This is a new strategically important role to the company's long term growth plans. Our client would love to meet you if you are an experienced, hands-on QA Engineer who believes in automated testing and wants to be a key participant in collaboratively driving the success of this greenfield opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Guiding Product Managers in the art of authoring stories for which automated acceptance tests can be written
Coaching developers to create testable software
Identifying, quantifying and communicating the risk of every release
Writing automated integration, load and stress tests
Defining metrics that quantify product quality
Evolving development processes to drive increased levels of product quality
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer ideally in an Agile environment
Deep experience and commitment to automated testing and continuous integration
Exceptionally comfortable writing automated tests using your high level language of choice – Java or Python preferred
SQL database development experience is a must and NoSQL highly desirable
Understanding of and experience using RESTful APIs is highly desirable
Experience with transactional e-commerce platforms are preferred
Very strong communication and exceptionally strong problem solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
