Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site a minimum of three days per week. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

Intent of the process

Our intent is to staff positions within the following regions: Vancouver, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and St. John's. However, various locations may also be considered in anticipation of future needs.

This advertised process is ongoing and a pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at PSPC with various tenures (term or indeterminate), language requirements, and security clearance requirements (reliability or secret).

  1. Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position.
  2. Experience in at least two of the following: a) Supporting IT projects as participant, manager or coordinator; b) Supporting IT services; c) Providing IT advice or guidance.
  3. Experience in the design, development, or support of software applications using defined methodologies and best practices.
  4. Experience with testing IT methodologies, techniques or tools.
  5. Experience as part of a team, in the planning and implementation of changes in the computing environment.
  6. Experience applying data analysis, automation, or AI tools to solve problems or optimize workflows.

We want to know more about your experiences:

  1. Post graduate studies in AI, machine learning, computer science, data science or other related fields.
  2. Experience applying principles and practices related to at least one of the following: AI, machine learning, Large Language Models (LLM), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), data engineering, data sciences, business intelligence, business analysis.
  3. Experience leading cross-functional teams on IT services, products or projects.
  4. Experience assessing business requirements for an IT service, project or product.
