Job Description

Lead and execute the 360-degree communications strategy (including traditional press, digital PR and events) for Dior Beauty Public Relations. Focusing on print and digital editorials, and social media efforts, with a strong understanding of the Canadian digital talent landscape, across all Parfums Christian Dior categories – makeup, fragrance and skincare. Oversee communications tools, platforms, and analytics for Canada to maximize Dior’s visibility, relevance, and engagement.

The position supports the global digital communications efforts of Dior’s headquarters based in Paris. This position works in conjunction with the US PR & Events Director and the US Digital PR Director to support the 360-degree strategy of PR in North America. In addition to partnering closely with the US PR team, the role requires the ability to liaise and communicate internally with various departments in North America, such as Marketing, Media, Sales, E-Commerce, and Dior Fashion Public Relations where applicable.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Build creative pitches for new product launches for press.
  2. Maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity, and activity within the competitive beauty landscape in Canada.
  3. Work closely with the print media to ensure a 360-degree partnership for print, digital, and social media coverage – linking all print features with digital and social support.
  4. Foster and maintain relationships with key print and digital editors.
  5. Track, analyze and monitor monthly print and digital press results using LVMH Media/DMR, identifying key insights to optimize brand strategy with the objective of achieving top ranking amongst competitors.
  6. Lead development of press and digital strategy for all new product launches, working closely with the marketing team.
  7. Facilitate product requests and new launch mailers for press.
  8. Lead and execute the Canadian influencer and digital communications strategy. Be intimately familiar with the key players within the industry, and outlets they utilize, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, RedNote, affiliate programs (RewardsStyle, etc.).
  9. Track, organize, and interpret numerical data acquired from Tribe Dynamics to analyze data proactively and better understand the Dior digital landscape, generating ideas on how the brand can grow effectively while aligning to Dior’s image.
  10. Set and achieve EMV and Impression goals, as well and influencer campaign and event specific goals, with the objective of achieving top ranking in Tribe Dynamics.
  11. Draft and negotiate contracts with influencer/talent agents for partnerships and activations.
  12. Work closely within the communication team to cultivate the image of Dior and therefore better impact all influencer posts, the quality of posts, and the volume of posts to align the brand properly amongst brand competitors in the digital world—using numerical metrics to guide tracking.
  13. Work with Marketing, Media, Sales, Retail Events and E-Commerce to ensure any paid/sponsored posts and influencer initiatives are targeted properly from analytical data acquired.
  14. Work closely with the E-Commerce team to ensure success in driving sales and traffic to Dior.ca.
  15. Plan and execute local influencer events/activations with the support of the Public Relations Coordinator.
  16. Manage Canadian PR budget.
  17. Develop and maintain relationships with top, mid-tier, and micro-influencers and their teams, agents, managers, etc.
  18. Execute and track all mailers to influencers—analyzing the data to compile a casting, organizing the mailing, tracking the findings, reporting the outcome and creating learnings for future projects and growth.
  19. Conduct quarterly reporting on Dior digital campaigns and relevant competitive activity.
  20. Manage professional development and growth of the Digital PR Coordinator.
  21. Conduct all other job-related activities.

Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of digital communications experience in the luxury industry with a strong interest and understanding of the analytics involved.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate across the organization at all levels.
  3. Strong negotiation skills; strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential, controversial and sensitive nature.
  5. Ability to implement strategy and has an enthusiasm to proactively present learnings and suggest new ideas.
  6. Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt well to change and multi-task.
  7. Strong managerial skills and experience.
  8. Fluency or working knowledge of French is preferred.
  9. Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.

Additional Information

This is a temporary 12-month contract position.

Hybrid position – In office Monday-Thursday and remote work on Friday.

Must be willing to travel domestic and abroad.

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published range of $140,000-155,000.00 CAN.
