Here’s How

As an affiliate counselor, you will provide in-person counseling to clients referred by their employer as part of TELUS Health’s work support programs in your region. You will work as an independent provider, based on your availability.

How You Will Make a Difference

  1. You will provide counseling for various issues to clients primarily referred by their employer.
  2. You will conduct addiction assessments and recommend appropriate treatment.
  3. You will offer counseling as part of our relapse prevention program.
  4. You will manage administrative follow-up of cases using provided clinical templates.

You Possess

  1. A Master’s degree in psychology or a related field.
  2. Active membership with the OPQ (psychologist or psychotherapist).
  3. A minimum of five years of post-master's clinical experience.
  4. Experience in addiction assessment and treatment.
  5. The ability to manage crisis or high-risk situations.
  6. A good knowledge of community resources.
