Bargaining Unit: OPSEU Status: Full Time Department: Mental Health Outpatient Program Site: St. Joseph's Health Centre Shifts: Days Rate of Pay: $61.36 - $78.20 per hour
Qualifications:
Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
Experience in the provision of brief and moderate term psychological intervention, including group and individual psychotherapy and behaviour management techniques with adults with serious mental health and/or addiction issues
Experience in a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches with adults is preferred
Knowledge of Decision guide/Shared Decision making model of care, motivational interviewing and strengths based approaches to care
Knowledge and experience with the development, execution and evaluation of treatment plans utilizing SMART goals
Skill/experience in the administration and interpretation of psychometric tests
Experience in research, program evaluation, and knowledge transfer preferred
Experience providing supervision to non-registered staff and/or students is preferred
Experience working within an interprofessional team setting with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player with excellent relationship building, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Understanding of relevant legislation (Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act and PHIPA)
Knowledge of the Strategic Priorities of SJCG and Mental Health Outpatient Programs
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license, adequate insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
Demonstrated regular attendance at work and adherence to the SJCG Principles of Conduct
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
