Psychologist (Workplace Support Programs)

The opportunity:
You will be performing psychological assessments, providing a diagnosis and providing counselling services for TELUS Health clients, as an independent contractor. Service may be rendered in-person or through video-call.
What you will do:
  • Assess and provide provisional diagnosis of mental health issues for individuals;
  • Create and deliver treatment plans for medium-term counselling interventions (average of 10 sessions);
  • Provide specialized counselling interventions to a diverse set of clients dealing with various personal issues including trauma exposure, depression and anxiety and substance use;
  • Manage the administrative requirements as dictated by TELUS Health's clinical models.
Who we are looking for:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology is mandatory;
  • In good standing with the College of Psychologists of Nova Scotia;
  • Trauma-focused care provider;
  • Experience and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy required;
  • Experience with mandated clients is an asset;
  • Ability to write reports in a clear and concise manner;
  • We value experience and/or training in at least one of the following 4 areas:
    • EMDR
    • Prolonged Exposure
    • Cognitive Processing
    • Accelerated Resolution Therapy
