Position Summary:
101st Street and Independence Apartments are Community Residential Facilities (CRFs) operated by enCompass Community Safety Agency, funded by Correctional Service Canada (C.S.C). The CRFs serve as transitional housing for high-risk federal offenders on various forms of Conditional Release and aim to provide a structured environment to support their reintegration into the community. The programs support individuals across a broad spectrum of needs, including those with complex challenges that require specialized care. These challenges may encompass mental health issues, chronic health conditions, social barriers, a history of violent or sexual offenses, and other significant public safety risks. By providing thorough monitoring, tailored interventions, and referrals to appropriate treatment and community resources, we aim to encourage positive behavior change and successful reintegration. Clients are guided in developing Crime Cycles and Relapse Prevention Plans while working towards the SMART goals they set.
As a Psychologist, you will provide clinical services, including psychological assessment and intervention, to support clients with complex and multi-dimensional needs. You will act as a clinical leader within the program, offering consultation, education, and guidance to both clients and the professional team. Your role will involve collaborating with case management teams, advising on evidence-based practices, and ensuring that psychological services align with professional standards, policies, and ethical guidelines. Additionally, you will contribute to program development, service planning, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes and overall program effectiveness/impact.
