Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal
Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 5 & 2 or 6 & 1, OT after 10 hr/day or 40 hr/week

Location: Edmonton and surrounding area (no camp, no LOA)
Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions
Requirements:
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License
Pre-employment:
- Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Project Superintendent (Civil Industrial Division) Qualifications:
- Ten (10) or more year’s combined field experience in Civil Construction (earthworks and/or underground utilities) and a strong ability in mechanical skills
- Minimum of five (5) years as a superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on operations and business processes
- Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule
- Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, investigate the underlying causes and identify short/long term solutions
Project Superintendent (Civil Industrial Division) Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate construction operations with the ability to utilize available equipment while maintaining a schedule and completing critical tasks
- Supervise the foreman’s daily activities; ensuring their crews tasks are performed efficiently
- Ensuring all safety practice and procedures are followed by generating site-specific safety protocols
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Coordinating and managing scheduling conflicts between sub-contractors
- Maintaining records of daily construction activities, including worker timesheets, daily progress reports and safety documentation
- Maintaining positive and professional relationships with external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
