Project Manager- Vancouver

Overview:
Our client is an innovative industry leading company that provides engineering services to the electric and telecom utility industry.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Manage schedules, progress updates and reports
2. Manage project control support, client support and corporate services
3. Manage the engineering design and project administration in all projects under a given portfolio
4. Provide support to the Project Management Team in the successful execution of projects
5. Manage other tasks as directed by project management team
6. Participate actively in project proposals and budgeting
7. Organize and coordinate project team meetings
8. Develop process flow charts and process optimization
9. Manage individual projects
10. Manage project coordinators at specific tasks
11. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
12. Manage project reports for management, clients, or others
13. Compile and submit project close-outs
14. Develop and organize training for new project coordinators
15. Coordinate project activities among clients, contractors, suppliers, associates and team members

1. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills – thoughtful leadership with the ability to adapt style as suits the situation/individual(s)
3. Track record of successful project delivery using cross functional teams and employing Project Management best practices
4. Track record of managing multiple projects in parallel
5. Must have access to a vehicle

Education & Experience:

1. A university degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Construction Management, Contract Administration, Business Administration, or other from an accredited institution is desirable
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
3. Experience working in utility and telecommunication industry for medium to large size organizations

Nice to Have:

1. PMP certification or equivalent
2. Experience in a variety of different delivery methodologies and project delivery frameworks
3. Strong interest to develop in a fast-growing team supporting capital projects across company
