Position: Project Manager / Product Owner
- Location: Toronto or Montreal, Canada

We are seeking a versatile Project Manager / Product Owner to join our dynamic team and work directly with our clients. This role is pivotal in aligning our data solutions with clients' business objectives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable impact. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical acumen, leadership, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between client needs and our data services.
What You’ll Do
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for client engagements, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage project scope, risks, and dependencies, with proactive issue resolution.
- Coordinate with internal and client teams, setting clear expectations and providing regular status updates.
- Ensure project documentation is current, accessible, and aligns with client requirements.
Product Ownership
- Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
- Develop and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog, collaborating with data engineering, analytics, and development teams.
- Define and communicate product vision and roadmaps that align with client needs and business objectives.
- Drive agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure agile best practices are followed.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and advocate for data-driven insights and solutions.
- Gather and synthesize client feedback to ensure continuous alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with the sales and delivery teams to identify opportunities for expanding client engagements.
Quality Assurance
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure project outputs meet company standards and exceed client expectations.
- Implement KPIs and success metrics to evaluate project and product performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Product Owner, ideally within data consulting or a related technology field.
- Bilingual in French and English – strong proficiency in both languages required for effective communication with diverse client teams.
- Strong understanding of data concepts (e.g., data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data visualization, governance, cloud solutions).
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and deliver client value.
- Experience in agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first approach.
- Certification in PMP, Agile, or Scrum methodologies is preferred.
