Project Manager (Learning & Content Development)

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Project Manager (Learning & Content Development) to join our team for a 12-month contract position.

As a Project Manager (Learning & Content Development), you will play a key role in the successful development, production, maintenance, and delivery of teaching and learning content within the Canadian K-12 education space. This role involves managing multiple projects, suppliers, and resources as well as being accountable for adhering to quality standards, schedules, and budgets.

This role is primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee content development, production planning, and execution processes.
  • Source, hire, and manage vendor/supplier relationships for digital and print products.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain project tracking and financial reports, manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Communicate requirements for print manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
  • Measure project performance, track risks, and implement approved actions to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present internal and external reports on program status and risks.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in project deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality and excellence.

Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets including spend reporting, analysis, re-forecasting, and purchase ordering.
  • Request, review, and negotiate quotations with suppliers.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in education-related product development is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of project management best practices (PMP not required).
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 Applications and in Smartsheet.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal/written communication, listening, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
