Position Overview:

PKF-Mark III, Inc. is in search of experienced heavy civil Project Managers capable of managing single and/or multiple jobsites in a demanding, fast paced environment with a wide scope of work. The ideal candidate possesses strong personal initiative, excellent planning and problem-solving capabilities, effective interpersonal and managing skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all tasks are completed with the highest level of safety
  2. Manage both cost and schedule for self-performed and subcontracted work
  3. Liaise with owners, subcontractors, and other internal and external contacts
  4. Select subcontractors through bid analysis and ensure contract issuance and proper insurances are in place prior to commencement of work
  5. Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  6. Manage the review and approval of project invoices, to ensure accurate vendor and subcontractor payments
  7. Assist in the implementation of QA/QC programs
  8. Confer with upper management to ensure all work procedures and constructability issues are resolved with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and designers
  9. Evaluate weekly construction methods, determine cost-effectiveness, and discuss any concerns with Project Superintendent
  10. Manage project team

Position Requirements:

  1. 8+ years of construction experience, preferably in the heavy civil industry, with a history of demonstrated responsibility
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related major
  3. Ability to meet fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities
  4. Keen awareness of industry recommended practices, OSHA requirements, equipment, and QA/QC
  5. Microsoft Office proficiency
  6. Bluebeam proficiency
  7. Valid driver’s license
  8. Manage projects within a 1-2 hour radius

Additional Skills & Experience & Certifications:

  1. OSHA 10-Hour and/or 30-Hour Certification, a plus
  2. Working knowledge of software platforms, including AutoCAD, P6 Scheduling, HCSS HeavyBid and Viewpoint, a plus
