The Glenpatrick Drive Infrastructure Replacement project is a significant initiative requiring visionary leadership. We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee this project, ensuring seamless execution within budget and on schedule. The role requires managing contractors, providing regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team, and fostering strong relationships to ensure success. You will ensure accountability from contractors and communicate effectively with residents and community associations to achieve the project's success and gain valuable community support.

This is a term position until November 2026, with potential for extension or permanency. Additional opportunities may arise to provide project management guidance on other capital projects during the term.

Your Impactful Role:
Lead the Charge: Spearhead the Glenpatrick Drive Infrastructure Replacement project, connecting with contractors and engineers to bring the vision to life.
Be the Backbone: Provide leadership and project management to ensure budget adherence and timely updates to the Executive Leadership Team and Council.
Keep the Community Flowing: Minimize disruptions to local services and coordinate public safety notifications with the Communications department.
Set the Standards: Review construction contracts and design processes for clear and complete requirements.
Innovate and Improve: Make professional recommendations on project processes and issue management.
Synchronize Efforts: Collaborate with Town and contracted engineering services to stage and phase project steps effectively.
Amplify Communications: Coordinate project-related communications through both internal and external channels.
Perfect Proposals: Prepare crucial tender documents, including Requests for Proposal and Requests for Qualifications.
Update and Upgrade: Ensure maps and drawings are accurate with the Information Systems section.
Build Bridges: Manage relationships and communications with staff, contractors, consultants, developers, government agencies, and the public to ensure compliance with design and construction standards.
Champion Policies: Implement policies and legislative requirements per the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and other applicable legislation, aligning with Council priorities.
Guide the Future: Provide project management guidance on other capital projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
• P.Eng, Civil Engineer is preferred.
• Engineering degree or diploma, Civil Engineering Technology (CET) designation.
• Minimum 7 years of civil project management experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
• Knowledge of municipal infrastructure, engineering design, and construction techniques.
• Experience with alternative project delivery models including Design Build, Design Assist, and Construction Management processes.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborative, innovative project management experience.
• Career progression in Capital Projects or Engineering services.
• Ability to convey technical information to all levels and resolve conflicts calmly.
• Relationship building skills to establish credibility and trust.

Salary $127,207 + health benefits and pension.
