Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee planning and management of construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Proficient in contract administration and project scheduling.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Identify resolutions to project execution (including scheduling), negotiate and strategize for project changes.
- Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget are in jeopardy.
- Process all change orders.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Manage project budgets and track expenses.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and senior management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams.
Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in multi-unit construction.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and bidding processes.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to designated job sites.
- Strong focus on client relationships.
- Extensive trades contacts.
- Valid driver's license with minimum 3 years and clean abstract required.
- Criminal record check required.
This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion. A bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
