Our client, a highly successful General Contractor, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
At the start of the project, review quotations and plans for the completion date, budget, construction schedule, processes, staffing requirements, and sub-trades.
Lead and communicate continuously with the site supervisor to ensure that all construction activities are progressing according to terms of reference, budget, and timelines (checklists, supply lists, delivery dates, etc.).
Continuously ensure strict and timely management and control of all assignment expenses, billings, extras, change orders, and construction costs.
Review construction documents/shop drawings for consistency with our client’s professional and quality standards.
Assist Estimation with the development of bid packages and communication with an approved list of bidders.
Assign and negotiate contracts to sub-contractors, ensuring they have the latest version of documents.
Maintain a cost tracking database for all new construction projects.
Direct, coordinate, and communicate changes to construction and equipment due to cost, clarification, and code requirements, and negotiate needed order changes as required.
Update and manage all processes (checklists, supply lists, delivery dates, etc.) required to execute projects efficiently.
Manage project turnover from the construction phase to the finished product.
Set up the team, including orientation walk-throughs of spaces and systems with all participants involved, and coordinate Landlord and City approvals.
Maintain discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information.
Perform other tasks and duties as requested by the Production Department Team Leader.
