Job Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of low to medium risk business process change or similar projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time by leading project teams and applying project management principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage each project from planning through implementation to final evaluation.
- Develop and manage schedules and activity lists for execution.
- Develop and execute highly targeted recruitment strategies and supporting communications materials to meet participant targets in collaboration with marketing and brand strategy.
- Develop and implement reporting mechanisms and key performance indicators.
- Execute the strategy and supporting tactics; monitor and report results regularly.
- Liaison with various internal stakeholders and staff to provide guidance, address inquiries, project process, and coordinate activities.
- Develop and implement a range of processes, policies and procedures under which each project will operate.
- Work with a variety of external vendors and partners to ensure each project stays on track and meets objectives.
- Work with customers to address any issues or concerns that arise with the project.
- Manage and execute any procurement needs of the project.
- Develop and execute contingency plans as necessary to meet goals.
- Undertake various supporting tasks to complete the project including procurement, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), data requests (CDRs), data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Provide project management and oversight for all assigned projects.
- Coordinate resources to conduct evaluation of projects.
- Plan, direct, and report on business process change or similar project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources and status and creating documents such as project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports and post implementation reviews so that the project is implemented as planned.
- Develop project plans and risk management plans for business process change or similar projects by identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks for effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using intermediate skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill business needs.
- Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of project.
Day-to-day Duties
Support product manager with coordination on:
- External consultant’s work ensuring work is delivered within the expected timelines.
- Supporting projects currently underway and navigate a variety of project types, complexity and scopes.
- Coordinate work and communication among internal team members and external partners and stakeholders.
- Develop project plans and operationalize new initiatives that are not yet initiated.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, preferred.
- Previous Experience with project management.
- Experience supporting teams and supporting internal projects.
- Ability to navigate projects of different levels of complexity and decision making, and involvement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Some familiarity or previous experience with DSM program management.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical experience in energy efficiency, MURB sector, and Electric Vehicles.
- Experience with projects or programs serving Indigenous and rural/remote communities.
