You Are

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Project Manager with a solid foundation in project management to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple projects successfully. We also value strong leadership, organizational abilities, and the aptitude to drive projects to completion on time and within budget. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budgetary constraints. Experience in managing Data Science projects will be an added advantage.

The Opportunity

  1. Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project scope, schedule, resources, and risks, ensuring alignment with company and stakeholder objectives.
  2. Team Coordination: Lead and manage cross-functional teams (internal and external) through project phases to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
  4. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or failures.
  5. Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective execution of all project phases.
  6. Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet the quality standards and requirements, addressing issues as they arise.
  7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and detailed project documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, and project deliverables.
  8. Post-Project Review: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification is a plus.
  3. Experience: More than 10 years of experience in managing complex projects.
  4. Skills:
  5. Strong project management skills with a focus on time, scope, and cost management.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  7. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  8. Exposure to large-scale, multi-departmental projects.
  9. Familiarity with Agile or Hybrid project management methodologies.
  10. Knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning will be an advantage.
  11. Ability to anticipate and address potential project challenges proactively.
  12. Adaptability: Comfort in adjusting to project changes and evolving business needs.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range

$108,000-$132,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
