Located in Komoka, Ontario,A-1 Restoration Inc.has more than 35 years of continuous expansion and success. Specializing in waterproofing and building envelope repairs, A-1 Restoration Inc. delivers exceptional service and proven, cost-effective installation and repairs on multi-unit residential and commercial buildings and parking structures.

We are hiring an experienced Project Managerto join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits based on knowledge of and experience with building envelope repairs, and with construction management.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President and based out of our office in Komoka, ON, the Project Managerwill be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and successful outcome of assigned restoration projects. Primary duties include ensuring jobsite health and safety, meeting project milestones and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget, enforcing Company policies and legislated regulations through weekly in-person presence at assigned job sites across Ontario, and acting as main point of contact for project questions or concerns. This role involves working closely with internal team members, including our experienced Site Supervisors, to plan and execute projects according to client requirements and Company standards.

The selected candidate must be able to manage projects concurrently, have strong oral and written communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a keen attention to detail for the safe and effective execution of construction processes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated:

  1. Knowledge of and experience with repair methods, materials, processes, and safe work procedures for building envelope projects including any of the following work types: concrete repairs, waterproofing and membranes, balcony restoration, cladding, masonry, and window and door replacements;
  2. Success in organizing, planning and coordinating project start-ups, commencement and close-outs;
  3. Sense of urgency: Ability to meet deadlines for project deliverables, such as scheduling, budgeting/invoicing reports, coordinating site equipment and materials, and progress reports;
  4. A record of client satisfaction and jobsite safety;
  5. Proven problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills and abilities;
  6. Capacity to effectively communicate with and direct the daily activities of skilled workers, site supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors;
  7. Competence in timely and complete documentation and reporting related to: project progress, site safety reports, citing potential concerns, providing solutions to issues, tracking approved change orders and integrating with billing processes;
  8. Knowledge and application of all relevant health and safety regulations and policies, ensuring compliance through reporting and administration;
  9. Ability to enforce policies and procedures on the jobsite, ensuring compliance from all parties;
  10. Willingness and ability to travel for work to projects across Ontario, including overnight stays where needed;

Requirements of the position include:

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of construction project management experience;
  2. Minimum C.E.T.;
  3. Familiarity and working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Construction Regulations, and Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  4. ValidWorking at Heights;
  5. Residence in S.W. Ontario, as working from the Komoka office on a daily basis is mandatory;
  6. Regular travel to ongoing projects to ensure the safe, efficient and high-quality execution of work;
  7. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills;
  8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  9. Strong communicator and eagerness to learn;
  10. Facility with MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet or other related project management software;
  11. Reliable transportation, G license and a clear driving record.

Salary

Annual salary starting at$70,000-$95,000, commensurate with knowledge and experience. Benefits and GRSP match after successful completion of probationary period.
