Based in Vicuña’s corporate office in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, the Project Management Coordinator will support the Project Management team to drive key initiatives, oversee aspects of project execution and help with coordination across departments. Reporting to the Phase Director, the Project Management Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting the team with the successful execution of this world-class Tier 1 Project.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Phase Directors by managing reporting, scheduling and project updates
Participate in and/or facilitate key meetings
Oversee certain aspects of the execution plan as required.
Act as lead on small studies and contractor engagements.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and senior executives to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
Manage and track project actions, deliverables, and requirements.
Prepare and edit technical reports, progress updates, risk assessments, presentation materials and decision memorandums.
Support the Phase Directors in decision-making across complex cross-functional initiatives.
Serve as a key link between senior management, operations teams, and external partners
Work closely with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Oversee contracts, contractor performance, and procurement activities.
Manage corporate-driven projects, such as business process improvements, systems implementation, and governance frameworks.
Contribute to Board of Directors presentations, investment reviews, and stakeholder updates.
Required Skills & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Civil or Mine Engineering
3 to 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the mining industry
Strong understanding of mining projects, permitting, and project execution
Strong organization and decision-making skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
