Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager - MMM. Our team includes world-class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Oakville, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, supervise, and coordinate all technical aspects of the work safely with primary focus on the integrity/quality of the engineering design while achieving schedule and budget objectives.
  • Act as a key technical interface with our customers.
  • Work on Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, FEED and Detailed engineering studies and projects where there is substantial multidiscipline engineering scope.
  • Provide leadership and support MMM project delivery teams to drive the engineering objectives of the project.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Work with Project/Portfolio leadership team to ensure compliance with the requirements of Worley HSE Management system.
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to Life.
  • Plan and coordinate multi-discipline engineering design assignments.
  • Ensure engineering activities are compliant with relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare Engineering (SEAL) Plan and change management plan.

Change Management:

  • Ensure scope changes are identified and management of change processes are adhered to.
  • Plan Technical Peer reviews on the Project/Portfolio.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality objectives are met through the Lead Discipline Engineers.
  • Ensure appropriate design checks are undertaken.

Planning/Resourcing:

  • Coordinate technical input to schedule development.
  • Support the development of GID/workshare plan for the Project/Portfolio.

Document and Data Management:

  • Define internal project data management requirements.

Workshare/GID:

  • Define Workshare/GID technical scope.

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property:

  • Ensure the integrity of all intellectual property.

HSE Capability:

  • Demonstrate awareness of health, safety and environment issues.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Significant mining or related industry experience at an intermediate/senior-level.
  • Strong understanding of multi-discipline engineering delivery.
  • Experienced in Mining essentials, preferably underground mining.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Recognized Engineering degree (or equivalent).
  • Current P.Eng. registration with PEO, or registered P.Eng. in another Canadian Province or Territory.
