Project Engineer – Mechanical
Columbia Basin Trust is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical to join our Power Operations team. This position focuses on supporting projects at the Trust's hydroelectric facilities to maintain their compliant, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This position also provides technical support during annual facility outages and leads mechanical troubleshooting, forced outage investigations, and corrective maintenance.
This is a permanent, full-time position based out of our Castlegar office. Our Power Operations team work together in a collaborative and supportive environment, enjoying the beauty and unique experiences the West Kootenay region offers.
The salary range for this position is $98,100 – $115,300.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering, the successful candidate will:
We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field. The successful applicant will also possess a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC or an equivalent provincial association. A minimum of four years of relevant experience is required, preferably with a focus on hydroelectric equipment and facilities.
