Overview:
Our client, a recognized world leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport, is seeking a Project Engineer for their Edmonton office location. With state-of-the-art equipment, value-added engineering, and a top-tier team of professionals, they offer their customers creative solutions for today’s heavy lift and transport challenges. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Engineering Manager. As a Project Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring the maintenance department is provided with exceptional service.

What you will be doing:

• Design and develop engineering drawings, such as lifting plans, rigging plans, and transport arrangements.
• Produce equipment calculations and operational procedures.
• Stamp drawings according to requirements and design.
• Supervise on-site operations if required.
• Responsible for executing engineering on site.

What you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer, licensed in ON, or any other Engineering Order in Canada.
• 1 – 5 years of experience as a project engineer or project manager in the heavy lifting industry, crane, or transportation.
• Strong experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experienced with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• 3D software knowledge.

Salary/Rate Range: $115,000 – $125,000
