Project Director

CATC is Canada’s largest network of privately operated addiction treatment centres. GreeneStone Centre for Recovery is a 35-bed inpatient addiction and mental health treatment facility located in Bala, ON. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Director to lead our medical and clinical teams in maintaining the highest clinical care standards while fostering an inclusive and compassionate environment.

Role Overview:

As the Clinical Director, you will be a key leader in our organization, responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplinary team providing medical and therapeutic services for patients under the guidance of the Chief Clinical Director, the Medical Director, and the Executive Director. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, optimal patient experiences, and alignment with our mission and vision. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong community relationships with strategic referral partners and referring professionals.

Detailed Accountabilities

Patient Care:

1. Oversee all clinical services required by residents throughout their treatment and preparing them for post-treatment clinical, employment, and family reengagement.
2. Supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of psychotherapists, counsellors, nurses, and support staff.
3. Promote an inclusive and diverse approach to patient care, considering individual and cultural needs.

Clinical Quality Assurance:

1. Ensure clinical quality aligns with CATC program standards, CARF policies, and our organizational mission and vision.
2. Collaborate with other inpatient sites and Chief Clinical Director to review and update clinical and medical policies and procedures as needed to enhance the patient experience.

Resident Outcome Evaluation:

1. Evaluate treatment outcomes through patient surveys and approved assessment tools, identifying trends and recommending improvements or follow-up care.

Community Relationships:

1. In collaboration with the Business Development team, build and maintain positive community relationships with referral partners, clinical referents, and the local community.

Ideal Attributes and Qualifications

Clinical Expertise:

1. Previous experience and education as a counselor or psychotherapist, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in addiction treatment.
2. Registration with a governing body, such as OCSWSSW, CACCF, CRPO.
3. At least three years of experience managing a team in a clinical or healthcare setting.

Effective Communication:

1. Exhibit a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with patients, family members, referents, co-workers, external agencies, and senior CATC leadership.
2. Experienced lecturer, group facilitator, and mentor to drive growth and learning for clinical team.
3. Prioritize clear and empathetic communication, embracing inclusion and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.

Operational Proficiency:

1. Demonstrate strong multitasking skills and a deep understanding of facility operations, whether in a hospital or inpatient addiction treatment setting.
2. Manage programming, staffing, and scheduling.
