Job Title: Project Director

Wage: Starting at CAD $238,500

Location(s) of work: 5700 Explorer Drive, Suite 400, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 0C6 Canada. May be required to travel to worksite locations across Ontario.

Number of Positions: One (1)

Required Language Skills: English (spoken and written)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically direct the operations of Bird's Industrial East division, with a focus on achieving growth targets and driving operational excellence.
  • Oversee the integration of services acquired through the Insulation division acquisition, ensuring seamless alignment with Bird's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance and expand Bird's operations within the construction industry, with a particular emphasis on insulation, scaffolding, coatings, and fireproofing sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify market opportunities, develop business strategies, and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, with a particular focus on highly regulated environments such as the Nuclear industry.
  • Direct complex project portfolios, overseeing project execution, risk management, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances to support Bird's growth objectives and enhance our competitive position in the market.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of senior managerial expertise as well as proven experience in multimillion (over $100 Million), large and complex construction projects in urbanized environments.
  • Ability to develop corporate strategies and long-term plans.
  • Deep understanding of industry regulations and standards, particularly in highly regulated environments such as the Nuclear industry.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Required Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
