Maple Reinders is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the construction of the Royal BC Museum Collections and Research Building in Colwood, (Victoria) BC. The new facility will be an advanced, sustainable, and culturally sensitive building that will serve as a community and learning hub for the region. Once complete, the new facility will house the Royal BC Museum's collections, research departments, learning spaces, and the BC Archives. Mass timber construction will be used extensively and the building will meet CleanBC energy efficiency standards, and be LEED Gold Certified.
As a Project Coordinator in our Buildings division, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers in the delivery of our exciting Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional building projects. The focus of your role will be to maintain contract documentation, support estimating, and assist with the preparation of budgets and schedules. We work on a variety of types of contracts such as Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management, and you would gain experience on all of these.
The purpose of the Coordinator in supporting the Project Manager is to ensure that a profit is made on the project, that the work is performed as per the contract documents, that the project is completed with outstanding quality, and that the jobsite is a safe workplace.
At Maple, we are looking for individuals who have the skills and desire to take on the role of Project Coordinator, but have the drive to become a Project Manager.
Salary Range: $75k-$85k
