We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team. This individual will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and will be well versed in heavy civil and structural construction disciplines. Experience with structures (buildings) and process mechanical will provide added value.

Located in our Surrey, BC office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of projects following a logical pattern for resource utilization.
  • Minimize exposure and risk by implementing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
  • Coordinate work of subcontractors on various phases of multiple projects.
  • Oversee performance of all trade contractors and review engineering drawings to ensure specifications and regulations are followed.
  • Administer construction contracts and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise assistant managers and superintendents, review their reports, check on reported difficulties, and correct safety or quality violations.
  • Track and control construction schedules and associated costs to achieve project completion within allocated time and budget.
  • Report to owners, engineers, and portfolio managers about progress and necessary modifications of plans. Plan, implement, track, and close out construction projects. Conduct project meetings.
  • Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs.
  • Achieve or exceed revenue goals set for projects.
  • Generate and issue regular internal and external project reporting through company software (Viewpoint).
  • Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
  • Administer Submittal Review process between Subcontractors/Suppliers and the owner or owner’s representative.
  • Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log.
  • Keep management and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
  • Periodic and relatively short-term travel will be required for out-of-town projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
