Position Title: Project Coordinator

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of the Hydro One Waasigan project. The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong background in civil engineering technology or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities.
- Track project progress and update schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project status and provide support to field teams.
- Identify potential risks or delays and recommend solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Support procurement processes by coordinating material orders and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Experience as a Project Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation or equivalent certification.
- Experience with transformer station or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and regulations.
