The Opportunity:

Davis Pier is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to join our consulting firm in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will support firm success by ensuring accurate data management for various aspects of projects, including budgets, resources, timelines, capacities, and project health. This role involves proactive identification of potential issues, ensuring project data is up to date, facilitating communication between project managers and leadership, and creating detailed reports and dashboards to provide comprehensive oversight of the firm. The Project Coordinator will also handle various administrative and organizational activities to support the firm's efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination:
    • Support firm reporting related to project budgets, resources, timelines, capacities and overall project health on a regular basis
    • Support maintenance of project data across organization by working closely with Project Managers and leads
    • Identify and flag current and potential issues within projects related to budgets, resourcing, and timelines
  2. Reporting and Dashboarding:
    • Create comprehensive dashboards to track project health, data and other valuable insights
    • Develop and present reports summarizing project insight for leadership meetings
  3. Communication:
    • Maintain open lines of communication with project managers and leadership
    • Attend leadership meetings when necessary and present project summary reports
    • Ensure there are no gaps in information between project teams and leadership
    • Hold PMs accountable for keeping project data up to date
  4. Administrative and Organizational Activities:
    • Organize and schedule meetings with PMs and leadership as necessary
    • Enter, organize, and extract data from Kantata
    • Organize documents and folders within SharePoint
    • Create document templates to help with standardization of work

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in professional project settings
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative be proactive
  • Understanding of descriptive statistics and data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
