Become a part of our international Operations team at our location Calgary, Canada. For the next possible date we are looking for you in Full Time (40h/week) as Project Coordinator (m/f/d).

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Management of suppliers, sub-contractors and third-party cargo handlers.
• Work constructively in a team-oriented environment to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Ensure timely and accurate project reports are being issued.
• Conduct freight rate negotiations with carriers, haulers, freight handlers, deugro overseas offices and agents, for all modes of transportation, to ensure price competitiveness and profitability.
• Become fluent with deugro in-house operating systems, Accounting Systems, Tracking Systems, and Cargowise.
• Responsible for invoicing and for resolutions of claims and disputes in a timely manner.
• Establish and ensure that the goals and policies of the company are met.
• Responsible for Receivables, Payables, Profit Sharing, Forecasting, etc., for accounts under your management oversight.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies in areas of Compliance, QHSES, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook, etc.

Your contribution:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training.
• The ideal candidate must have at least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in International Freight Forwarding.
• Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management.
• Knowledge in all major freight forwarding disciplines, e.g., air, sea, surface transport, Mining, Industrial Projects, Oil and Gas etc.
• Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail.
• Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural).
