The Project Controls Cost and Schedule Analyst IT Developer will be responsible for all reporting requirements needed from our Project Management/Project Controls team. Utilizing software to improve the efficiency in report creation, the accuracy of the data collected. Generation of these reports will be a weekly deliverable.

This employee will be allocated to a special project within the region. This exciting opportunity includes the maintenance of a tool being used improve the management system within the region. You will work with all departments while making an impact on the region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and maintain reports that provide insights into project controls and departmental performance.
  • Data Management: Design and manage complex spreadsheets to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Work closely with all departments across the region to understand their needs and support the rollout of new tools and processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documents that detail processes, tools, and best practices for the department.
  • Tool Development: Evaluate, trial, and implement new programs, templates, and tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Flow Chart Updates: Regularly update Visio flow charts to reflect current processes and improve clarity.
  • Report Generation and Analysis:
    • Ongoing:
      • Development of Cost Report Master
      • Change Order file creation
      • Provide insight on special projects
    • Weekly:
      • Cost Reports for PM
      • Client reports
      • Payment reports
    • Monthly:
      • Accrual Report generation/creation
      • WIP report generation/creation
      • Project forecast, and monthly reports
    • Quarterly:
      • Billing forecast
      • Quarterly progress reports
    • Yearly:
      • Year end reporting

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors’ Degree, Diploma, Designation or related

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in relevant project controls software
  • Experience in Engineering Procurement and Construction projects is an asset
  • Knowledge of computer systems and troubleshooting
  • Experience with computer systems, Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft PowerApps, and SharePoint.
  • Open to new graduates looking for an entry level position

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visio.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft PowerApps, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and troubleshooting.
  • Proven understanding of project management, engineering and construction processes is an asset.
  • Proficient in Oracle programs is an asset.
  • Organization and time management.
