Project Controls Coordinator

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Controls Coordinator in the Oil and Gas Sector in Edmonton, Alberta. The Project Controls Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for development and implementation of project controls planning, and oversight of all project controls cost deliverables for assigned projects within the Major Projects business unit. Projects are typically more than $100 MM/year with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity.

A typical day:

1. Lead and coordinate development of overall Project Execution Plan
2. Participate in the development and maintenance of project controls deliverables including but limited to:
1. Cost Report and Cost Variance Analysis
2. Cash Flow Report and Variance Analysis
3. Project Change Management Procedure to Project Controls Plan
4. Monthly Progress Report Integrating Cost Control and Scheduling functions into one seamless team.
5. Defining Project Controls resource requirements for the project.
6. Lead role in coordinating collection of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings according to the 5-Phase Project Lifecycle.
7. Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems functional groups on actual experiences gained during implementation of new tools, processes, or procedures.

Successful candidates will have:

1. 10+ years of experience with Engineering and Construction Capital projects, with pipeline industry experience preferred
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related technical discipline with industry experience
3. Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred
4. Experience with Microsoft Office products, EcoSys, Oracle Cloud, and Power BI.
5. Familiarity with best management practices for project cost control.
6. Driver's Abstract Required due to some driving to work sites
