The Opportunity

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst under the Customer Service business unit to support our main project. An ability to multi-task and handle challenging deadlines will be critical to the role. This role will be based in Oakville, ON with a hybrid work schedule.

What will you do?

The Project Controller oversees Financial, Accounting and commercial tasks in Rail Infrastructure Maintenance projects.

  • Perform monthly closing, and support financial controlling, and reconciliation of project cash flow and standard deviation analysis using SAP.
  • Assure compliance with Siemens FRG and local GAAP requirements.
  • Oversee billings and cash allowance process with our main customer.
  • Maintain trend, and variance analysis for Cost Centers.
  • Contribute to process improvements and Financial Analysis.
  • Fully integrated in our project management team, you will collaborate with technical and financial partners.
  • Progressively this role will evolve through a Commercial Project Manager position where you will be in charge of all Financial and commercial tasks in small projects.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Finance / Accounting Degree and 2+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting and/or prior experience in industry or project business.
  • Advanced analytical abilities, strong Microsoft Excel skills and SAP knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well across internal organizations.
