Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Project Accountant is responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial and progress reporting including income statements, balance sheets, and other ad hoc reports used by both internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent reviews budgets and prepares financial reporting and forecasting for various users, including project managers, Shared Health leadership, as well as to our external funders. The incumbent will work closely with the project management team in order to formulate cashflow need projections, accurate financial information, and complete accounting project statements. This will include working with project managers and external consultants to estimate progress and establish accruals in advance of invoice receipt. The incumbent will create financial reports which may include importing and processing of data from external sources into the general ledger including the manipulation of source data where necessary.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
