The Role: Upstream Intern, Delivery

The Team: At S&P Global, we're energy experts! We partner with governments and companies to help them make the most of their upstream investments. Our insights cover the entire energy value chain, helping clients spot risks and seize opportunities in today’s fast-paced market.

We’re seeking candidates for our internship program as a Program Management - Global Delivery Intern which is part of our IMPACT Program. IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) is one of our many programs within Commodity Insights aimed at developing early career talent globally. The internship program will run from May to August.

The Impact: As a Summer Intern on our Product Management Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping S&P Global Commodity Insights. You’ll work with diverse teams to create innovative products that empower clients—from oil and gas companies to regulators—to make smart decisions in the ever-changing energy landscape. Your work will blend data science, AI, and market knowledge to deliver insights that help our clients thrive in a complex global energy ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to expert on upstream data delivery technologies like Snowflake and APIs.
  • Collaborate with product development, sales, customer support, and directly with clients to tackle any issues that pop up.
  • Work with other Energy product teams to find ways to share tech and integrate products, including Snowflake and APIs.
  • Join customer focus groups to gather insights and feedback.
  • Create data-driven dashboards and analytics to support our initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current student attaining an undergraduate/graduate degree in a relevant field, graduating in May 2026.
  • Experience in a technical or customer support role.
  • Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL and databases.
  • Understanding of APIs and how they work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and foster collaboration.
  • Stay updated with the latest tech trends and apply them to business needs.
  • Communicate technical info clearly to both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy folks.
