Program Facilitator

Job Summary

Program Facilitators are responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive environment where campers are enabled to develop tangible skills set out in the Tims Camps Program Framework. This is done through briefing, leading and debriefing activities to draw out understanding and self-awareness. Program Facilitators read the abilities of their group and adjust activities accordingly. They are responsible for assessing and managing risk and ensuring THFC program and wellness standards are followed.

This role will be based onsite at our Tim Horton Onondaga Farms location in St. George, ON.

Contract Length

March 10, 2025 – June 5, 2025

What would you be doing?

1. Deliver high-quality, intentional programming designed to meet specific outcomes and develop positive skills.
2. Establish relationships with youth aged 11-17 that reflect respect, trust, and empathy.
3. Inspire young people to discover their strengths, challenge limits, and build resilience and leadership capacity in a safe and supportive environment.
4. Encourage camper development through their own processing and readiness, and recognize their achievements.
5. Provide leadership and guidance to other staff, modelling inclusivity and mentorship.
6. Identify, assess, and appropriately manage risks and respond to risks, ensuring the safety of participants, guests and staff at all times.
7. Ensure program areas are organized, stocked, and in good repair.
8. Ensure participants and staff are properly trained in activities and follow safety protocols.
9. Contribute positively to the camp team and culture.
10. Deliver programs in accordance with THFC and accrediting body standards.
11. Report incidents, and complete the appropriate documentation.
12. Work flexible hours while campers are present on site.
13. Support other camp departments as necessary, including but not limited to kitchen, maintenance, and housekeeping.

Does this sound like you?

1. 2 years of experience working with children/youth of various abilities, preferably in an outdoor setting.
2. Ability to exercise good judgment and professionalism when interacting with schools and community groups.
3. Experienced facilitator. Demonstrates ability to adapt facilitation style based on individual and/or group needs.
4. Skilled in behaviour management and problem solving.
5. Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C certification.
6. Licensed with a valid G Class Driver’s License, or equivalent (considered an asset).
7. Acceptable criminal background check.
8. Ability to live on-site for an extended period of time and work flexible hours.
