Northland School Division is accepting applications for the position of Program Consultant for the School Food Services department.

Major Responsibilities:

  • As a Program Consultant, you will have the chance to make a difference by providing invaluable consulting services to 10 community-based nutritional school lunch programs across Northern Alberta. You'll be the guiding force, training kitchen staff in essential areas such as nutrition, food handling procedures, sanitation, and purchasing. Your creative menu planning skills will tantalize taste buds while ensuring all necessary paperwork is in order. With responsibility for the financial aspects of the programs, you'll play a crucial role in nourishing young minds.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and food service or a nutrition management certificate, combined with two to three years of supervisory experience in a food services-related field. We also value a combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial cooking experience that adds flavor and expertise to your skill set.
  • A valid driver's license, enabling you to embark on exciting journeys.
  • Computer skills that navigate the digital realm with ease.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight, opening doors to new experiences.
  • Flexibility and a natural ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills—essential ingredients for success.
