HOURS OF WORK: 35-hour workweek
LOCATION: Hybrid Model – when working onsite, you will report to the location of City Hall
HOURLY RATE: Step 1 $21.48, Step 2 $22.40

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Provide project, program, and administrative support to the Office of the CAO.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of programs and services by providing direct functional support and responding to inquiries.
- Provide program assistance and support for departmental initiatives, programs, processes, projects, and events.
- Respond to inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services to meet departmental service standards.
- Independently fulfill administrative and program duties including correspondence, documentation, minute-taking, preparing memos and reports, and presentations.
- Support project leads in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating departmental policies, programs, and special events.
- Participate in working groups and brainstorming sessions to provide input, ideas, and insights.
- Assist with data entry and management.
- Perform qualitative/quantitative research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to complete projects.
- Prepare project and program updates for review by management.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive communication, reports, materials, and records.
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Students must be enrolled in a university or college. Proof of enrollment letter will be requested prior to the job offer.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Student must be currently enrolled in a university or college Public Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Policy, Human Resources, or a similar program.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of discipline-specific principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office programs like MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Practical knowledge of applicable software(s) within discipline.
