Job description

Position: Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultant

Location: Lion’s Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, BC

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours of Work: Full time, 7AM to 5PM Mon to Friday, 1 in 6 weekends on call

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service and daily MOCAP stipend

Qualifications, Education and Skills:

  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Mandatory
  • Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Desired
  • ERCP / EUS skills - Asset

Role Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible for acute inpatient gastroenterology consultations including emergency and urgent inpatient endoscopy. This position does not include any elective outpatient endoscopy provisions or privileges.

Health and Safety Requirements:
