Production Workers - SWING SHIFT HOURS

Lynden Door Canada of Yarrow, BC has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented Production Worker. If you like to restore and take care in your work to make the final visual touches, our Door Repair opening may be a great fit for you! We have a safe, friendly and clean work environment. All training provided; no experience necessary. In this role you will use basic non-power hand-tools and finishing products to repair minor imperfections that can occur to doors in the production process and bring them up to our quality standard as the Lower Mainland's producer of fine door industry specialty products.

This position works Monday to Friday SWING SHIFT HOURS, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The hourly rate starts at $20.00 and carries a $1.50 shift differential.

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE WORKING DAY SHIFT FOR THE FIRST 6 WEEKS - Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM FOR TRAINING PURPOSES AND WILL THEN TRANSITION TO THE NORMAL SWING SHIFT HOURS.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRODUCTION WORKER

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a door shop is preferred, but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of door components and assembly techniques is preferred, but not a requirement
  • Carpentry and woodworking experience is preferred
  • Able to read basic shop drawings
  • Mathematical aptitude and understanding of imperial measurements to the 1/32 of an inch
  • Ability to physically and safely lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stand and/or be on your feet for an entire scheduled shift
  • Be comfortable with and safely use the equipment
  • Willing to be cross trained in all areas of production
  • Willing to take direction
  • Willingness to pursue additional training to enhance job skills
  • Exceptional (internal/external) customer service
