Job description

Job Purpose:
Assemble cables/Mechanical assemblies according to the assembly instructions provided.


Production Duties:

  1. Installation of Mechanical components using tools provided.
  2. Understanding of torquing requirements.
  3. Crimp contacts onto wire using hand crimper or pneumatic tool as specified, as needed.
  4. Assemble cables according to schematics/assembly instructions.
  5. Work as a team to assist other technicians when required.
  6. Other related duties as required or assigned.
  7. May involve some heavy lifting as required.

Skills/Qualifications (preferred but not required):

  1. Crimping, Soldering, Stripping and Cutting Cable.
  2. Mechanical Aptitude.
  3. Problem-solving skills (i.e. identify problem causes; determine steps to resolve; assess solution).
  4. Communicate clearly, strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  1. High School diploma.
  2. Electronics Technology background and education an asset.
  3. Suitable job-related experience.
  4. Training provided including IPC training.
