Employment Opportunity – Production Team Leader/ QC (Afternoon Shift)

The Uni-Spray product line includes two proprietary product ranges and our Custom Injection Molding services. Our global leading range of pretreatment spraying systems is the foundation of the Uni-Spray name and a secondary proprietary line of packaging machinery wear parts adds additional diversity. Both proprietary product lines are complemented by our extensive custom injection molding, design and engineering services.

We currently have an Afternoon shift opportunity, Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm to 12:30am (4 -10-hour shift) for a team-oriented experienced Production Team Leader/QC.

Duties Include:

  1. Direct Supervisor a team of 3-5 production employees
  2. Indirect Supervisor a team of 1-2 mold techs
  3. Promote, support and communicate company initiatives, expectations and policies and procedures to production team members
  4. Provide direction and support to production team members ensuring production schedules are maintained and contingency plans are activated when necessary.
  5. Responsible for ensuring new employees, machine operators and production team members are trained and cross trained to follow the defined work instructions, health and safety and job requirements
  6. Operate mold machines and assist with operator breaks
  7. Inspect in-process molded plastic components, finished fabricated plastic products, and first runs to ensure they meet the Company’s quality standards and customer specifications
  8. Perform daily quality tests and inspections as instructed by the Quality Supervisor
  9. Responsible for the resolution of all product quality non-conformance issues in conjunction with the Mold Technician
  10. Communicate Company requirements and expectations to team members and act as a liaison between employees and Company management
  11. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Regulations
  12. Ensure safety equipment and protective devices are operating properly and are being used at all times
  13. Must be able to lift/carry loads up to 22 kgs and stand for long periods of time
  14. Other job duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing plant as a Team Leader or equivalent
  • Experience with Injection molding environment
  • Strong supervisor skills
  • Proven leadership ability in a fast pace working environment
  • Strong decision-making skills that maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Computer skills, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint etc. required
