Job Description

Primary Function: Supervise and direct the production of quality brake linings by optimizing production equipment and team members. Manage the production operation and work to ensure product quality while achieving production schedules.

Shift Hours: Mon through Thurs (6:00 am to 4:30 pm)

Compensation Range: $58k – $68k

• Provide direction and leadership in resolving technical and production-related problems to ensure completion of weekly schedules.
• Supervise approximately 35 production operators.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and quality requirements.
• Oversee and perform maintenance work necessary in maintaining machine operations.
• Train machine operators on procedures, methods, problem-solving, programming, quality requirements, and safety.
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
• Perform trial and prototype equipment modifications for brake lining equipment.
• Perform set-up operations for all part numbers and verify quality by dimensional and process material testing.
• Maintain daily production output and quality reports for transmission to corporate.
• Maintain inventory of essential production tools and support materials.

Qualifications

• Machine reliability experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and management of maintenance activities.
• Lead/Implemented plant preventative maintenance.
• Mechanical/Electrical Devices troubleshooting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of operating experience on mechanical assembly equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and process control is desirable.
