Production Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency and quality in production operations.

Supervisor Job Description

1. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
2. Plan and organize production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources and minimizing waste. Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines.
3. Provide direction to different departments in the shop.
4. Oversee and coach employees.
5. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
6. Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
7. Check production output according to specifications.
8. Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
9. Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
10. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years’ experience working in a metal manufacturing environment.
2. 5+ years’ experience working as a Production Supervisor or similar position is preferred.
3. Experience with various types of manufacturing tools and equipment.
4. Experience with metal cutting, forming, welding, finishing, inspection, and powder coating is an asset.
5. Good practical experience with MS Office, Excel Office, and ERP software programs.
6. Strong organizational and leadership skills, together with a results-driven approach.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution attributes.
10. High School Diploma; additional degree in the manufacturing field is an asset.
11. Must be physically fit, able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
