Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (fully on-premises position)

Company Overview:

Skygauge has reinvented the drone to perform work not possible with drones today. Our drone conducts ultrasonic thickness tests from the air. The Skygauge performs inspections 5-10x faster while workers remain safely on the ground. Our unique thrust vectoring technology is being applied to other applications like painting, cleaning, sanding, and more.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time on-site Production Supervisor role located at our HQ in Hamilton. At Skygauge, you will build and repair drones with a small team, verify product quality, and improve production processes. You will be responsible for maintaining a Six Sigma program for process improvement, collaborating with the R&D team, and organizing the production team.

Required Skills:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent electromechanical and fine assembly skills.
  • Strong safety mindset and process-orientation.
  • 3+ years of production experience for electromechanical products.
  • Experience in organizing small teams.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Understanding of KPI reports.

Preferred Skills:

  • Aerospace or drone industry experience.
  • Experience with robotics hardware principles, assembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and effective production floor.
  • Produce new drones.
  • Repair damaged drones.
  • Schedule drone production and repairs based on demand.
  • Generate equipment status and repair reports.
  • Train and supervise production staff.
  • Document and oversee processes and work instructions.
  • Ensure, monitor, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with R&D for product iterations.
  • Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willing to work in-person with our team at the Skygauge HQ.
