We are seeking a Production Supervisor to manage all operational activities to ensure our Chilliwack plant production meets all quality standards, performance requirements and sales commitments.
About The Role:
Production Planning and Execution:
- Manages the operational activities in the plant, within the applicable Nutreco standards and procedures, in order to achieve an efficient and effective execution and delivery of results
- Coordinates production operations within a single plant that uses common production equipment, methods, and standards over multiple shifts
- Establishes and maintains production schedules within established procedures and budgets
Leadership and People Management:
- Leads production team to achieve their individual and team objectives through goal setting and regular ongoing and motivating feedback
- Manages team mobility and scheduling for 24/7 shifts
Reporting:
- Develops and/or monitors the relevant KPI’s to maintain an insight in the performance of production in the assigned area against the set targets, and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitors established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
Quality / HSE Compliance:
- Assures that all activities and operations are executed in line with HSE / Quality regulations and procedures and promotes safety awareness and compliance
Continuous Improvement:
- Identifies and implements improvements to the production systems, processes and practices for production optimization
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
- Equivalent knowledge and experience in plant production operations
- Forklift certification an asset
- Class 5
- Higher Boiler Certificate an asset
