Job Description: Production Supervisor

Location: Burlington, ON

Job Type: In – Office, Mon – Fri, 7 am – 3 pm

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations in the production facility, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and the achievement of production goals. This role involves motivating and managing production employees, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining communication with senior management. The Production Supervisor will also assist in training, onboarding, and ensuring that production standards are upheld.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise daily operations within the production facility to meet and exceed production goals.
  2. Organize training programs and create educational manuals for production team members.
  3. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new hires.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and professional standards across the facility.
  5. Monitor and prioritize tasks to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.
  6. Evaluate production stations and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Maintain clear communication between production employees and senior management to ensure all procedures and policies are understood and followed.
  8. Ensure the timely and efficient flow of raw materials and other production resources.
  9. Identify and implement improvement opportunities in production processes.

Qualifications

  1. 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry.
  2. Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  3. Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  5. Strong attendance record with the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with the project management team.
  7. Organized in maintaining engineering-related records and documents.
  8. Knowledge and experience with Quality Systems, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
  9. Ability to work well under pressure and apply effective problem-solving techniques.
  10. Commitment to ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently, maintaining a safe work environment for both yourself and your coworkers.
